For the best prices, always book direct on this page, or call 01507 451366. This self-catering cottage near Alford, Lincolnshire, stands right by the river, adjacent to the watermill. Completely renovated in 2017, it sleeps four comfortably. 

You have private use of a large riverside garden, where the huge pond is popular with the local ducks and moorhens. A heated conservatory opens onto the garden where there are plenty of places to sit. And it’s a joy to sit with a glass of wine and watch the stars on a dark night. 

Inside Miller’s Cottage

We hope we’ve thought of everything. The open plan lounge/kitchen includes reclaimed oak floor, leather sofa, digital TV, DVD player, and full kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer, double oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. The lounge opens onto a lovely conservatory with seating for four, and the kitchen opens onto a small dining area with a table made from the reclaimed beams from the cottage.

Upstairs are two bedrooms and a shower room. Bedroom one has a king-size double, while bedroom two has twin 3-foot single beds. Tranquil and beautiful, both bedrooms include goose feather and down duvets and pillows, hotel-quality bed linen, a flat screen TV (with a DVD player in bedroom two) DAB clock radios and wardrobes. The shower room has loo, basin and a large (1.2m) built-in shower cubicle with electric shower.
