TAKE YOUR TIME AT CLAYTHORPE WATERMILL

Tranquil and lovely, Claythorpe Watermill is a small, family run destination set in the grounds of our 18th century watermill. The mill last ran in the late 1970s but you can still see the remaining millworks and learn more about its varied industrial history.Today the pace of life is slower. Enjoy the animals, sit by the river, soak up the atmosphere or unleash the kids on the swings. We're a small place and most people will allow a couple of hours for their visit, staying for coffee and cake or lunch in our excellent café, which is open to all (no need for a ticket to the grounds). But there’s no hurry so why not feed the birds and take your time over a relaxing visit and a glass of wine? We have great riverside dining through the summer evenings, and amazing outdoor movie nights in the late summer.

Jun 2023
Saturday
Gates 6pm, show starts 8.15

The biggest hits from the biggest shows.
Live at Claythorpe Watermill

After last year’s incredible sold-out show, we’re thrilled to once again welcome award-winning West End singers Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler to Claythorpe. From starring roles in Bat Out of Hell and Mamma Mia, to acclaimed performances in Jesus Christ Superstar, Billy Elliot, Cats and The Commitments, Sharon and Rob are two of musical theatre’s true powerhouses.

They’ll be performing some of the biggest hits from your favourite stage and screen musicals including Wicked, Frozen, Mamma Mia, Les Miserables, Bat Out Of Hell and many more.

Gates open at 6pm with food and drink on sale, and the bar will be open for wine, bottled beer and more. Only food and drink purchased at the mill to be consumed on the evening.

They’ll be on stage at 8.15pm and there’s a 15 min interval.

Tickets are strictly limited. Please bring your own folding chairs to sit on and make yourself comfy!

For a glimpse of what Sharon and Rob are all about, here they are on the Australian tour of the amazing Bat Out of Hell.

This is an outdoor show that will go ahead in any weather provided it is safe to do so – only very strong winds or lightning may lead to a cancellation, in which case we’ll aim to reschedule the show as soon as possible, subject to Sexton & Fowler’s availability. Tickets are non-refundable unless the show is cancelled by the organiser or the artists and you are unable to attend the rescheduled show. If you’re travelling to see the show and are booking overnight accommodation, please remember that the show may be cancelled at short notice in the event of lightning so we recommend that you book accommodation that can also be cancelled if necessary. The show will take place outdoors. We’ll be using our marquee if it rains, but please dress for the great British summer as not everyone will be able to fit under cover! In buying your ticket you’re accepting that there’s a chance you’ll get wet and that we do not offer refunds if the weather isn’t to your liking.

Please make sure that you provide a working phone number and email address when you book your ticket in case we need to contact you about your booking. All ticket prices are inclusive of VAT.

Online ticket sales for this event are closed.

CHANGE TO OPENING TIMES THIS WEEKEND - Saturday 3rd & Sun 4th June – Open from 11.30amLovely riverside café in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Take your time over lunch or visit the birds and animals.

CHANGE TO OPENING TIMES THIS WEEKEND

Saturday 3rd & Sun 4th June – Open from 11.30am

To prepare for the show on Saturday evening, we’ll be opening at 11.30am Saturday and Sunday (closing at 4pm as usual).

We’ll be back to our normal 10am opening on Monday 5th June.

If you're visiting the animals, the goats and rabbits' area is open as usual, but the bird garden is currently closed while we get back to normal after the avian flu lockdown – so we're afraid you can't visit the ducks at the moment.

For that reason, we're waiving our normal admission in favour of a small contribution to help with the care and upkeep of the animals while we're unable to open all the animal areas.

The cafe's open to all as usual – no need for a ticket!
